Wendy J. Clark is a full time studio artist who works in dyeing yarn and weaving. She works from her log cabin studio located in the eastern mountains of West Virginia. It is here the landscape and colors in surrounding hills inspire her work. Most noted for her colors and incredible softness, she weaves textiles for the body (mostly) scarves, shawls, and baby wraps Her work is in private collections, museum gift stores, galleries and fine clothing shops around the world.
Wendy has received tremendous support through the Tamarack Artisan Foundation and The WV Division of History and Culture. It is through this generous support that enabled Wendy to move into her full-time weaving practice. The video below was a result of the efforts of Tamarack Artisan Foundation and the financial support they provided through the WV Division of Commerce. With all my heart, I thank them for what they have done for me to realize the goal of being who I am meant to be. ( below is a video documentary the Foundation produced to help promote the work I do, along with a link to others they have helped.
