All of my custom baby wrap work is managed through the closed Facebook Chatter group - Wenweave Wrappers. Custom slots open up every four months - and book FAST! Occasionally, when time allows, special opportunities are offered, primarily through this page - you have to request membership as it is a closed page to protect our members.
Once you have secured a custom slot, a deposit is required to hold your position. Then, if you want me to look at your ideas, gather a couple pictures or draw it out and I can interpret it in color. My specialty is, of course, hand dyed work, but I am more than happy to work in ready to weave colors. I do work in a variety of cottons, silks, bast pineapple, and tencel. Because of regulations, I have a limit to the fibers I have to offer.
Basically, what I do is work from your ideas - or, you place complete trust in me because of my comfort with color and dyeing. Once we find a look you love, I then begin hand dyeing your yarn (if desired). I send you pictures of the whole process. Once the warp is threaded onto the loom, you to pay the balance due. Then it is woven, hemmed, and washed. I will share pictures of the development on WENWEAVE and WENWEAVE WRAPPERS through our Facebook page.
My prices vary per meter. It all depends on the yarn chosen, weaving structure and variations that are added to the design. Extras include fringing the tails, and special options like OOAK (one-of-a-kind).
I weave 29-30 inches wide. It varies a little because twills pull in more than plain warps do when weaving them. I am happy to weave in Blessing Threads and Middle Marker threads.
I have several admins on my chatter group who are amazing at walking through the process of a custom.
I use flat rate shipping within the USA but will ship international with you paying the total cost of shipping, customs fees, and insurance.
Hope this will answer the standard questions that usually come up.
Have a super day --- back to my loom!
